Sustainability

Ethical sourcing, lower carbon footprint, we care about people and our planet.

Our Impact

We believe we are a solution to the farmers by:

1.

Guaranteeing fair price and earnings to the farmers throughout the year.

2.

Campaigning – urging husbands to bequeath parcels of farmland to their wives, breaking the cycle of female poverty when their husband dies.

3.

Educating women in family planning, entrepreneurship and with financing children education.

4.

Setting up a women’s cooperative for shelling cashews to provide regular, year-round earnings.

Cote D’ Ivoire is situated in the west of Africa and is the world’s largest producer & exporter of cocoa and cashew nuts, palm oil and coffee.

Traceability of our Ingredients

There are two cooperatives involved in our production and traceability of our ingredients, Mindobie and Cajunel COOP.

MINDOBIE is a Rainforest certified cocoa cooperative which consists of 500 women farmers. This cooperative was set up in 2016, in the southwest region of Cote d’Ivoire. Our cocoa and coffee beans are from the farms of these Mindobie members.

Our cocoa is transformed into cocoa butter, mass, and powder by Tafi SA, a certified HACCP unit and rainforest certified. Tafi SA is owned by a woman entrepreneur who specialises in cocoa transformation.

HOUKAAGRI COOPERATIVE is a cooperative based in the central region of Cote d’Ivoire which consists of 725 women. We train 100 of those women to transform raw cashews into kernels.

WOKAN SCOOP is a cooperative with 375 members with 35 women in the North part of Cote d’Ivoire precisely in Katiola. They source us with raw Cashew and baobab.

There is no middleman between us and all our consumers, no detour.

We reduce carbon by cutting of the detour by eliminating the round trip of cashews from Ivory Coast to India or Vietnam before reaching to our kitchen in England (Gosport) final customer in Europe.
